Checkable moments
Numbers are not enough. Overshoot points to the exact round and tick behind each unusual kill so a person can open the demo and watch it.
Can someone else open the demo and check it?
What a reviewer is given
- The match and round
- The tick to jump to
- The weapon and distance
- Which measurement put the kill on the list
What it is
For each kill worth a look, Overshoot records the match, round, tick, weapon and distance. Open the demo at that tick, and step through about five seconds before the kill.
Why it matters
A measurement is a claim about a moment. A reviewer should be able to see the moment, not take the number on trust. This is the difference between evidence and an accusation.
How it is used
The app's evidence report shows the ticks behind each player's measurements. The research fact sheet adds a paste-ready note a reviewer can attach to a report. Overshoot can tell you where to look. It cannot decide what you see.
What this cannot tell you
- Watching a moment needs the demo file, which only the people in the match can get.
- What looks unusual to a person is also a judgment, and people disagree.
- A moment is never proof on its own.
