Why Overshoot

Aim evidence a person can check. Not a verdict.

Overshoot reads the demos CS2 already records, lines up the hand against the crosshair kill by kill, and points a human to the moments worth watching.

What we do

A second pair of eyes for CS2 demos

CS2 demo files record two things side by side: what the mouse did, and where the crosshair pointed. Overshoot opens about four seconds around every kill and asks one question: did the hand explain the crosshair?

It turns that into a handful of plain measurements, compares each one with ordinary Premier play, and lists the kills worth a second look, with the round and tick for each. A person opens the demo, watches the moment and decides.

Around that sit the tools people use every day: look up any player, see rankings, track your own matches, and run the desktop app on the demos already on your PC. Nothing is installed in the game and nothing scans your computer.

Six reasons

Why people use Overshoot

Each one has its own page with the full explanation.

How it works

From one kill to something you can check

Every kill goes through the same five steps.

  1. Open the window

Each kill becomes about four seconds of movement, read from the demo the server recorded.

  2. Line up hand and crosshair

The raw mouse input is set beside where the crosshair actually turned.

  3. Measure

Fit, jerk, corrections and more are measured for that one kill.

  4. Compare with ordinary play

Each number is put in context against real Premier kills made with the same weapon.

  5. A person checks

Overshoot points to the round and tick. A person opens the demo and decides.

Who it is for

Built for people who need to be sure

League and tournament admins

A ruling needs something defensible. Overshoot points to the round and tick, and the admin decides.

Players checking their lobbies

Open a match and see which moments are worth watching, without accusing anyone on a hunch.

Anyone who wants a second opinion

Stats show how good a player is. Overshoot shows how the aim got there, kill by kill.

The rules

What Overshoot will never do

  • Label anyone a cheater. It shows measurements and people decide.
  • Show aim scores publicly or rank suspected players.
  • Let kills, K/D or rank count as evidence. Being good is not evidence.
  • Show a number without the tick behind it, so anyone can watch the moment.
Questions

Straight answers

Can Overshoot falsely accuse someone?

It never accuses anyone. It lists moments worth watching, with the round and tick, and a person decides. By design about 5 in 100 ordinary kills look unusual on any measurement, so one number proves nothing on its own.

Is it free?

Free today. League pilots open soon.

Does it run anything on my PC, or upload my demos?

Nothing runs inside the game. The website reads data already recorded in demos. The desktop app analyses demos locally on your PC, and demo files are never uploaded.

What does “unusual” mean?

Each kill is compared with ordinary Premier kills made with the same weapon class. Unusual means it sits far from that ordinary range, not that anything was done wrong.

How is this different from a stats site?

Stats sites show how good a player is. Overshoot looks at how the aim got there, kill by kill. Other systems are described, with sources, on the How others use data page.

Can I be removed from the site?

Yes. You can ask to be removed from rankings and player pages. The privacy page explains how.
